Is the APK safe to install?
The APK is signed with Telegram's stable release certificate, so Play Protect and every major mobile antivirus recognise it. You can verify the signature via apksigner verify --print-certs.
Do I need Google Play services?
No. On devices without Play services Telegram falls back to its own lightweight foreground service for push delivery, so messages still arrive in real time.
Can I install it on Android Auto or an Android TV?
The APK targets phones and tablets. Android TV boxes with the Play Store can still install it, but it's not optimised for remote-control navigation.
How do I update later?
Telegram checks for updates inside the app itself. When a new version ships, tap the in-app notification and it downloads the newer APK - or come back here for a fresh copy.
